Are Ancient Stones or Stone Structures on Your Property?
I often find single standing stones, albeit they are small, and stone structures (usually very deteriorated) in the woods. Because of their size and condition most people don't pay any attention to them. What's also remarkable is that people have had me look at some unusual stone structures on their property and asked me what they are about?
The fact is that the woods, particularly in America's northeast, if the property has not been farmed, often contain an ancient standing stone(s) or even a stone structure of sorts. If you have a large property and curious about what it may contain, give me a call.
I take my work very seriously and am very passionate about it. Given that many of the stone structures I find are thousands of years old I approach work like an archaeologist on a dig working with fragments. Over the years I have seen many types of stones and stone structures and because of that have developed a large catalogue of knowledge to draw upon. In the picture below my dog Jaeda Bear is sitting in front of two large standing stones that have fallen over. They were part of a larger collection of huge standing stones that had similarly fallen over close to them. I imagine that at one time they were a spectacular collection. They have remained hidden because we don't look for large stones in the woods and debris around them has built up over them.
